Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 10, 2026
The English version governs in case of any discrepancy.
This Privacy Policy explains how Sippa ("Sippa", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use sippa.me and our creator-tipping services (the "Services").
Sippa is a platform: we provide the software that lets Fans and Creators send and receive tips. Payments, wallet details, and identity verification are handled by our payment partner under its own privacy policy, and this Policy does not cover them. For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, the data controller for your personal information is KIRA Technologies Limited.
When you use the Services, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Who This Privacy Policy Covers
This Policy applies to Fans (people who send tips), Creators (people who receive tips), and visitors to our website. Sippa connects Fans and Creators and provides the software for tipping; it does not process or hold payments. Where a Creator uses your information for their own purposes (for example, to recognise their regulars), that Creator is responsible for their own use of your data.
Information We Collect
We collect information to improve, protect, and operate the Services:
- Account and profile: your email address and any handle, avatar, or profile details you choose. If you sign in with Google, Google shares information such as your name and email with us in line with its policies.
- Creator payout wallet: if you create a creator page to receive tips, we collect the wallet address you provide. This is a public receiving address, not your private keys.
- Tips and activity: the drinks you build by choosing from the options we provide, any message you attach, the tip amounts, and which creators you support and how often.
- Communications: messages you send us, and basic analytics on the emails we send you such as deliveries, opens, clicks, and bounces.
- Device and usage: technical data such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and usage patterns, collected through server logs and our own first-party analytics, generally used in aggregated or de-identified form. We do not use third-party analytics services.
We never collect your private keys or identity documents. Payments and identity verification are handled by our payment partner under its own privacy policy.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide the Services: deliver tips, run the drink-builder, show tips on creators' walls, create and secure accounts, and run gamification (awarding badges, tracking streaks, and showing leaderboard standing). Public leaderboards show only registered account-holders; guest tips are not shown.
- Keep the Services safe: prevent fraud and abuse and protect the security of the Services.
- Communicate with you: send service messages (such as receipts and "you got a tip"), and, with your consent where required, marketing.
- Meet legal obligations: tax, accounting, and responding to lawful requests.
- Improve the Services: analytics, troubleshooting, and research, using aggregated or de-identified data where possible.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies to run the site and remember your session. We also use our own first-party analytics: a random identifier is stored in your browser's local storage so we can understand aggregate usage of the Services (such as page views and tipping activity). This data stays with us — it is not shared with advertising or third-party analytics providers, and we do not use it to track you across other websites. You can clear or block this data at any time through your browser's cookie and site-data controls; disabling it may affect some features.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is needed to run the Services, as described below:
- Creators: when you tip a Creator, we share your handle (unless you tip anonymously) and any message you attach, so the Creator knows who supported them. Your message may be shown privately to the Creator, or publicly on the Creator's drink wall. Creators are independently responsible for how they use information about their supporters, and this Policy does not cover their own use of your data.
- Service providers: companies that help us run the Services under contract, such as our payment partner and providers of sign-in, analytics, email, and hosting.
- Legal and safety: to comply with the law or valid requests from authorities, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights and safety of Sippa, our users, or the public.
- Corporate transactions: a successor entity in a merger, acquisition, or reorganization, with continued protection of your data.
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you. A current list of key service providers is available on request at info@sippa.me.
International Data Transfers
Our Services operate primarily in Asia, and your information may be processed in Asia and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from yours. Please note that where we transfer personal data cross-border, we take the steps required by applicable law to protect it, such as using Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Data Retention
We keep your information only as long as we need it:
- Account data: while your account is active, and as needed afterwards for the purposes in this Policy.
- Guest tips: unclaimed guest identity is kept only for a limited period and then removed or anonymized; the underlying tip record is kept as required by law.
- Records: we keep certain records, such as transaction and tax records, for as long as the law requires, even after you close your account or ask us to delete your data.
Once information has been anonymized so that it can no longer be linked to you, it stops being personal data, and we may keep and use it indefinitely (for example, to understand and improve the Services) without further notice to you.
Your Privacy Rights
You have a number of rights over the personal information we hold about you, which you can exercise to the extent the laws that apply to you allow. You have the right to access the information we hold about you and to receive a copy of it; to have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected; and to ask us to delete your information where there is no longer a good reason for us to keep it. You may also ask us to restrict or object to how we process your information, including objecting at any time to the use of your information for direct marketing; to receive certain information in a portable, machine-readable format; and, where we rely on your consent, to withdraw that consent at any time.
If you are concerned about how we handle your information, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@sippa.me.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request, and we will respond within the time required by law. Some rights have limits: we must keep certain records for legal reasons, and information held by our payment partner is subject to its own privacy policy.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and you are responsible for keeping your own account credentials safe.
Third-Party Websites
The Services may contain links to other websites or services. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read. Sippa is not responsible for their practices.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will provide you with reasonable notice of such changes via prominent notice in the Service or to your email address of record. Where required by law, we will obtain your consent or allow you to opt out of such changes.
